19 Weeks, 5 Days

We went to the doctor yesterday and had another full scan. Since we're going every 2weeks now, every other appointment is the full scan where they measure EVERYTHING!!! All of their measurements were within range and the girls are growing right on pace, so still sharing nutrients!!!
Here is Baby Girl A. She was was very cooperative during her scan, until the dr. tried to measure her femir (sp?),which took a good 15 minutes. Poor girl was struggling to stretch out at all because her and her sister were fighting for room. Literally fighting. They were even throwing some kicks and punches at one point. Growing up with 2 sisters lets me know that this isn't the last time this will happen! She measured 19 weeks 4 days and was 12 oz, so right where she should be. She is looking straight on in the picture and resting her little arm against her face!
Here is Baby Girl B. She was all over the place today,so the tech, Ann couldn't get any good pics of her. This picture shows her profile, but you really have to stare at it to see it. She measured 20 weeks and was also 12 oz. While the girls were fighting for room Ann said "just think about the fights they'll be having when they're 16!" I've been so busy planning for when they're here that I really hadn't given having 3 teenagers at the same time (especially GIRLS!!!) much thought. I'm not gonna lie, this kind of made me panic! When I was around 15 my mother told me, probably on a daily basis, that she wished I would have a girl just like me when I get older! At the time I would reply "thank you mom, me too!" I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of the angel that I was and more because of my smart mouth she back-handed so often! She got her wish x2!!!
Here is Baby Boy! Kind of blurry, but you can see the profile. He measured 19 weeks, 4 days as well and was also 12 oz. He was a little larger than the girls by grams though. He was all stretched out since he has all of the room in the world!!! He is right under my ribcage which is why I'm always hurting now, but I used an ice pack last night and that helps a ton! I can't believe how their little faces are starting to look like real babies rather than little aliens now! I can't wait to see what the baby Chris and I (or actually the embryologist at KUMed:) made looks like!!!
I'm already passed 1/2 way since I won't be going passed 37 weeks. It's amazing to me how fast time is flying. We haven't started buying much because my shower is coming up, so we need to figure out what all we need afterwards. I'm super excited, my mom and party-planning sisters are going to do an amazing job, I can't wait to see everything they've done!!!
Here I am at 19 weeks, 6 days. I feel like my belly is bigger each time I look down. One of my students told me that I don't look pregnant at all! I probably need to send her to the nurse to get her eyes checked now that I think of it, but the doctor said my uterus is already almost the size of a full-term!!! My face is starting to swell too!!! I've always heard that your face really spreads out (to put it nicely) when you have a girl because she's stealing your beauty...Can't wait to see what mine does with 2 girls!!! I've gained 22 pounds so far. At this point I should have gained 20-25, so perfect!
Names are still a struggle. I think we've settled on Mollie and Mia for sure and are looking for an M boy name. Chris likes Max and I like Michael. Maybe another poll will be coming soon...
I was recently thinking about where we were a year ago at this time and wanting a baby so badly. It is overwhelming to now look and think about how amazingly blessed we are today. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for the continued prayers and support. We appreciate all of you more than you'll know.

Baby(s) Update

Sorry I haven't written in so long! I went back to work 2 weeks ago and have been sooooooooooooooo exhausted I pretty much get in bed when I get home and haven't had a free chance! My last appointment was at 18 weeks and was almost 2 weeks ago. The babies were doing great. They were napping most of the time I was getting scanned, but were moving around a lot at the end. The first picture is of Baby A laying on C. I think it's pretty cute!

Week 18 stats were as follows. A: 156 BPM B:153 BPM and C:136. They measured the amount of fluid in each sack, which were all normal! The amount of fluid in the girl's sacks also indicates that they aren't fighting for nutrients! He said that this is a critical period for twin to twin transfusion to show up and if we make it past 24 weeks without any signs the chances are pretty much non-existent. He did not seem concerned at all and was still very pleased with my progress. So keep the positive thoughts and prayers comin'! They're working!!! They didn't measure the babies this time because it had been too soon since my last scan and this was a short scan, but will next time.
The picture to the left is Baby B laying down. You can clearly see her spine, which I think is a neat shot!
I am now 19 weeks 3 days. I'm pretty uncomfortable most of the time. My back is killing me and my ribs literally feel broken at times. She scanned Baby Boy pretty high up, so I'm sure he's right under there. I told the doctor how uncomfortable I was and his words were "This is just the beginning of the storm, so get used to it!" I can't imagine how uncomfortable I'll be once I'm really large, so he's right I do need to get used to it! I'm really not trying to complain, I'd much rather be uncomfortable and pregnant with 3 babies than anything else in the world! I'm already 1/2 way for me since they won't let me go past 37 weeks and I just can't wait to see them! I've been feeling little flutters every so often for the past few weeks, but this past week I'm feeling them pretty often, especially when I'm laying down at night. Chris felt one today for the first time. I've been wanting him to feel it so bad that when he finally did I started crying! He thinks I'm nuts, but I am hormonal! This is my 18 week baby bump...

I've been back to work since the 9th, but the kids started Monday! The first couple of days I was pretty sure I may not even make it until the end of the week! I could barely move and can not even describe how exhausted I was, but as the week went on I felt great! I'm pretty sure laying on a raft or on the couch all summer didn't help my stamina and I just had zero energy. If you were smart, you'd start a pot for how long I'll make it!!! I'm hoping to make it through September, but we'll see. My class is great this year! I already love them and I'm only going to be with them for a short time, which makes me sad, but I'm sure I'll love my new job even more!!!
This is me on the first day of school!
And in other news........
I'm proud to announce that I will be an Auntie again!!!
That's right! Christina and Todd are expecting Baby Taylor #2! She is due March 19th so the triplets will be just a few months apart from him or her (I think it's a girl), which will be a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure this is the only time I'll be pregnant, so it'll be fun for us to be pregnant together too!
Baby names change on a daily basis. Mollie is the only name we're set on. We've been on a 3M kick for a couple weeks with Mollie, Mia, and Max, but I'm not 100% sold on that yet. It is now changing daily and I'm pretty much the most indecisive person to live, so we'll see...
Hope everyone's doing great. I go back on Monday, so another update will be coming soon!
XOXOXO

It's (or They're) a...

It's a Girl!!! It's a Girl!!!It's a Boy!!! We could not be more excited to announce that we are having 2 girls and a boy! I've always wanted more than one girl because I think girls need sisters and Chris gets his little athlete, assuming he gets absolutely none of his coordination and athletic abilities from me, of course! We are already overjoyed to be having 3 and to get the best of both worlds is just the cherry on top!!! (I will post the recent sonogram pics soon).
I went in for my 16 week scan last Wednesday and have been meaning to post since then, but came down with an AWFUL stomach bug that night that EVERY SINGLE member of my family has gotten along with a friend who came in town over the weekend (sorry Nehley). I hope nobody else gets it, it's horrible.
So in the midst of trying to register (can't even tell you how hard it is to register for 3, I got overwhelmed and we had to leave) and starting to plan for babies, I was also planning a Surprise 30th Birthday party for my baby's daddy and I came down with the flu!!! THANK GOD for my sisters, who got all of the decor and cupcakes and went early to decorate for me along with my Mother-in-Law, otherwise the party would not have happened. I did have to leave early because I wasn't feeling well though :(Here are a couple of pics from the party!
Okay, so back to the appointment. We went in last Wednesday and found out the genders of all 3 babies. They were not shy at all(I'm going to have to have a talk with the girls about this when they're here)so we got to see all 3!!! They also did a full scan, which means that they measured literally every part and organ you can think of. Everything was perfect! They were fun to watch again. Moving all around, starting to fight for room. Baby boy was all stretched out though, since he's on his own! They are all laying on Baby girl A so she will be the smallest. Their stats were as follows:
A:16 weeks 1 day, 6 oz, 155 BPM
B:16 weeks 1 day, 6 oz, 153 BPM C:16 weeks 4 days,7 oz, 155 BPM . He's our over achiever!

So from here on out, I will go in every 2 weeks. At each appointment I will get scanned, they'll measure the babies to make sure they're growing and check the twins for twin to twin transfusion. This is something they check identical twins for to make sure they aren't fighting for nutrients because they share a placenta. The dr. said all signs point to them not having this for now and if I make it to 24 weeks withouth anything popping up, that's a major hurdle. I have no doubt that they'll continue to be healthy!!! At the 4th week appointments they will do a full scan to measure all parts and make sure everything is still going smoothly.

He was also very excited about the progress I'm making and measured my cervix to make sure it was thick enough to hold the babies. With my measurements and how well I've been doing, he seemed to think I may not go on bedrest as soon as they originally thought, so that's exciting!!!
I had gained 17 pounds at my appointment. I was packing on 3 lbs a week for the past few weeks, which the dr. told me to pump the breaks on!!! Then, I got the flu and lost 6 so I'm back up for a grand total of 13 pounds so far! I've been feeling great. Just trying to get everything done now!
Now that we know what they are the name games (or fights) have begun. We will name one of the girls Mollie Jo, after Chris' mom and my Dad. That is the only name we're set on and middle names aren't even a topic of discussion yet. We have several girl names that we like, but can't decide on, and Baby Boy may just go by Boy because that's been a major struggle. I thought it would be fun to post a ,so vote for your favorite names!!! It's on the top right. Chris will be mad that I included Isobel because his best friend's daughter's name is Isabella,so he says that is not an option but I like it so I'm including it!!! I did like the idea of having 3 M's, but couldn't come up with any combination we really liked, so we are taking suggestions too!!!
I will post again after my next appointment. Thank you all for the continued well wihses and prayers, we know they're working and are so thankful for all of your support! xoxoxo
