7 weeks 1 day

Imagine hearing the words "There are three babies in there!" That's what happened to us yesterday...
I guess 3 is the lucky number for us. After our 3rd IVF cycle, we found out that we are pregnant, so the third time was the charm!
We went in for our first sonogram yesterday to find out how many little guys stuck. We transfered 2 embryos, so I was pretty sure that we were having twins. It took our doctor a little bit longer to say anything than we would have liked so we were starting to get a bit nervous. She said "before I tell you this there is a less than 2% chance of this happening so brace yourselves." We could not have braced ourselves enough for what we were about to hear...
"We put 2 in, they both implanted and 1 split, so you have triplets!" I wish I had a camera for the look on Chris' face!
We got to hear all 3 heartbeats and they were all strong. They are the size of rasberries right now and measured perfectly. I am feeling great. The nausea comes and goes but when I eat I feel fine.
I'm sure many of you know that Chris and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years exactly. It has been a long journey of many ups and downs. We can not tell you how much we appreciate all of the prayers and positive thoughts. We know how amazingly blessed that we are, but we have a long road ahead to get these babies here strong and healthy so we will need the prayers more now than ever. I am technically due January 13, but with triplets you typically make it to 33 weeks so that puts us on Thanksgiving Day!
The purpose of this blog is to keep everyone posted as we progress. I go back to the doctor for my 8 week scan next Thursday and will post again then.
Love you all
xoxo
